Justice Z.M Bashir of the National Industrial Court sitting in Port Harcourt, has cleared all preliminary issues and granted a motion of amendment sought by the family of Chukwuma Eleje, a jumia agent killed in Port Harcourt, four years ago.
The family had dragged Chukwuma’s employer High Hub Global Solution Limited to court for his entitlements. But, the case was stalled due to certain issues.
Justice, Bashir after listening to both parties granted the amendment sought by the family. With that, hearing of the case would commence on March 14, 2022.
You would recall that Chukwuma was killed while delivering some items in Port Harcourt and his body later found in a septic tank.
His killer, Sodienye Mbatumukeke had been sentenced to death by hanging by a High Court in the state.
