A Chief Magistrate Court in Ifo has sentenced Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, to three months imprisonment for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. The sentence, delivered on charges related to a November 18, 2022, incident in the Okeosa, Ilogbo area, includes an option of a N30,000 fine.
Chief Magistrate A.S. Soneye found the singer guilty on two counts following the prosecution by Inspector Olumide Awoleke, who told the court that Portable obstructed an arrest, assaulted a police officer, and was linked to the theft of studio equipment.
