A state High Court in Port Harcourt has restrained the Police from arresting former factional speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Edison Ehie
Justice S.H Aprioku of the state high court gave the ruling Today in a suit filed by Ehie who was few days ago appointed Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Government House, to prevent the Police from arresting him.
The court also adjourned the case to February 6th for hearing.
As you may the Hon. Martin maewhule-led Assembly had written a criminal petition to the Police against Ehie, accusing him of leading thugs to burn down the state assembly.
