A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt will on August 16 2024 hear a motion in a case filed by a Rivers resident, Joshua Rufus and an NGO Initiative for Transparency for Good Governance.
The suit is against the Attorney General of the Federation, Inspector General of Police and the State Commissioner of Police.
The presiding Judge, Justice Muhammad Turaki, ordered the Police to explain their continued presence at the 23 Local Government Councils.
