The National Industrial Court sitting in Abuja, has ordered the National Association of Resident Doctors to suspend its strike, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
Justice John Targema, who gave the order on Monday, also adjourned to September 15 the suit by the Federal Government brought against NARD.
He said the application was granted after carefully considering the processes filed by the applicants.
Meanwhile, NARD has disclosed that it would not suspend the strike despite the ruling of the industrial court.
Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, National President of the association disclosed this in a statement, shortly after the ruling.
He said the association had not received any court order and would therefore not suspend the industrial action which commenced August 2, 2021.
