A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos State has ruled that former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele will forfeit properties worth over N11.14 billion and N1.04 billion to the Federal Government, permanently.
The Court gave the ruling on Friday. This was after Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke had considered a motion filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, represented by counsel Chineye Okezie on Friday.
The property included shops and apartments at Cadastral Zone Maitama and Wuse areas of Abuja.
They are also property including lands and apartments which were paid for on behalf of Oluwaseun at a total value of N1.04 billion.
