The Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an arrest warrant for Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, manager of renowned gospel musician Mercy Chinwo, over allegations of financial misconduct.
Justice Alexander Owoeye granted the order on Thursday, January 16, following an ex parte motion filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
During the proceedings, EFCC counsel Mrs. Bilikisu Buhari cited provisions of the 1999 Constitution and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, to request Onyedikachukwu’s arrest to ensure his court appearance.
The EFCC investigator, Michael Idoko, supported the application with an affidavit revealing a complaint from Chinwo. The musician accused her manager of withholding $345,000 in royalties from her digital platforms and live events without proper disclosure or payment of her share.
The court-approved warrant aims to bring Onyedikachukwu to justice for the alleged diversion of funds.
