The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned proceedings to February 17, 2025, for the adoption of all court processes in a lawsuit filed by Pro-Fubara lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly against 27 Pro-Wike legislators.
The Pro-Fubara lawmakers are contesting the legitimacy of the 27 members who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At Tuesday’s hearing, Ferdinand Orbih, counsel to Martin Amaewhule and 14 others, informed the court that certain documents were missing from the case file. Orbih requested an adjournment to locate the documents, a motion that went unopposed by the other parties.
