The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Dr. Obinna Anyanwu, DSSRS, has commissioned the Orie-Ala Obite market comprising of open stalls, office, and toilet facilities built by his administration at Obite community.
Speaking at the commissioning, Dr. Anyanwu noted that the project aligns with his administration’s vision of a “one ward, one project” initiative which he said has become a reality.
He said the market stands as a symbol of resilience and a testament to the collaborative efforts that will continue to shape the community.
He appreciated the people of Obite for providing his administration the enabling environment to bring the project to life.
According to him, projects like this will undoubtedly benefit the community and other neighbouring villages.
Leader of the PDP in Obite Ward 10, Barr. Jerome Okere described the market project as a fulfilled promise made to the people of Obite.
Barr. Okere thanked the council chairman and added that he will always be remembered by the people for his commitment to the development of their community.
Chief Whip of Etche Legislative Assembly and Councillor Representing Obite Ward 10, Dr. Williams Nwabeke commended the chairman for breaking the record as the first council chairman to execute and commission a project in Obite community.
He assured that the community will cherish and protect the project as their own.
Ochimba of Obite Community, Eze. Longinus Nweke, commended Anyanwu for his enviable performance in projects delivery and his visionary leadership style in Etche Local Government Area.
