The Coordinator of the One Million Youths for Governor Wike, in Omuma LGA, Engr. Prince Nwalozie Solomon Alozie has donated COVID-19 palliatives to widows across the 10 wards of the Local Government Area.
The presentation of the palliatives which took place at the Local Government council yesterday saw widows troop out in their numbers to receive the gifts.
According to reports, the gesture is the first by any individual since the COVID-19 era.
Engr. Alozie, who has been described by many as a “giver” urged the widows to use what have been given to them judiciously. He said the essence of the initiative was to mitigate the effect of the pandemic on the people.
The widows who could not hide their excitement thanked him for the kind gesture while promising to use the gifts judiciously for their own good.
