The Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim has disclosed that every step taken by Governor Wike since he assumed office has been targeted at state development.
Nsirim made the revelation when the management of Cool, Wazobia, and Nigeria Info radio visited him in his office to collaborate with the ministry. He said, Rivers people are proud to be associated with Governor Wike describing him as a visionary leader.
Nsirim, said the governor is deliberately building an enviable future for Rivers People. “Within the last five years, His Excellency has demonstrated keenly that his passion to turn around the fortunes of Rivers State is not something that he is just playing to the gallery.”
The commissioner called for objectivity, fairness and balance in news reportage, stating that media houses are supposed to be bridge builders who harness public opinion for the common good. No media outfit should be antagonistic, he noted, while expressing delight in the partnership.
Carl Orakwe, Programme Manager of the Station in his remark said “Part of the reasons why we are here is to extend our support and let everyone know that, ‘coolwazobiainfo’ family as a media outfit would strive to promote good governance.
