The Rivers State Ministry of Water Resources, has ordered security operatives in the state to arrest water factories who do not brand their water trucks and vans, describing such water as contaminated water.
Commissioner for Water Resources, Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja made this known during a press briefing while listing substandard water factories in the state few days ago.
He stated that the move is part of government efforts to protect people of the state from drinking contaminated water.
He explained that bad water causes stunted growth and dull brain, as the agency is committed to ensuring that quacks are eliminated from the system.
He called on people of the state to patronize only companies that produce standard water.
The commissioner, also noted that anyone caught producing and selling substandard water in the state, would be arrested and prosecuted inline with the laws of the land.
