The COLE’ctive Initiative has rolled out a structured creative enterprise empowerment programme aimed at equipping young people across Rivers State with entrepreneurial skills, market access and organised platforms to support sustainable business growth.
Founder of the initiative, Tonye Cole, disclosed in a statement that the new programme moves beyond traditional training models by introducing a coordinated statewide Creative Enterprise Framework called COLE2Crea8.
He said the framework is designed to turn creative abilities into scalable ventures by combining skills development, enterprise support, media exposure and civic participation within a unified system.
Cole noted that the programme recognises the creative industry — including arts, fashion, music, film, design, crafts and digital content — as a vital economic sector capable of driving job creation and inclusive growth.
He added that creativity should be treated as a core economic driver, emphasizing its role in generating employment, strengthening identity and expanding opportunities for young people.
