The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the death of three persons after rival cult groups clashed at the Railway axis of Diobu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this to news correspondents, in Port Harcourt, on Thursday.
Omoni said a suspect identified as Ejike Paul was arrested when officers of the command, stormed the area.
He noted that the Command is in complete control of the situation, as the Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday has ordered for an increased patrol in the area.
Omoni called on residents of the area to be vigilant and provide the Police with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the cultists.
According to reports, the clash was between ‘iceland’ and ‘Deygbam’ cult groups over who controls the area.
