The Network for the Actualisation of Social Growth and Viable Development (NEFGAD) has pledged free legal representation for Miss Comfort Emmanson over what it described as “unfair, unjust, and unacceptable treatment” by Ibom Air and other regulatory bodies.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by its Head of Office, Omoniyi Akingunola, the civil society group said it was not convinced Emmanson was treated fairly and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
NEFGAD also faulted the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) for imposing a lifetime ban on the passenger, accusing the association of “hastily assuming the role of a court” without granting her a fair hearing or conducting a proper investigation.
