The Nigeria Police Force says citizens have the right to arrest and attack criminals.
Assistant Inspector General of Police, Abutu Yaro, made this known during a radio interview in Port Harcourt on Monday.
According to him, security is every man’s business as he urged citizens to be more responsive in assisting the police in addressing crime within their communities.
“Every citizen has a right to attack criminals; every citizen has the right to arrest,” he said.
