The Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has called for thorough investigation into the killing of Mr Chukwuka Monye 43 year old man and a father of three children by men on Police uniform on Saturday, April 1st,2023 at Rumuokoro flyover, PortHarcourt, Rivers State.
A thorough and unbiased investigation by the Police authority will unmask the identities of the Killer(s) of Mr Monye and end the controversy of whether the killers were genuine or fake Police officers.
Considering the revelation by Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command that the Killers wore Police uniform, it is our view that such investigation will uncover the actual culprits and ensure the perpetrators are brought to book .
We condemn in strong terms the killing of Mr Monye who is said to be a Master’s degree holder while condoling with the immediate family particularly the wife and children.
