The Choral Voices of Port Harcourt is set to hold its Golden Jubilee Anniversary Concert Tomorrow, 22 November 2020.
Choral Voices of Port Harcourt was established by Late Alabo Dr. C. I. T. Wokoma, who served as the choir’s pioneer musical director until his passing earlier this year.
Following the demise of its founding music director, Mr. Victor Opuada Hart now leads the choir. In an interview with Elanhub’s Sarah Joe, Victor said he seeks “to promote the ideals of the group as well as maintain and build on the exemplary standards set by its founder”.
The choir, which prides itself as the oldest independent concert choir in South-South Nigeria, held its maiden concert on 22 November, 1970.
The Choral Voices of Port Harcourt Golden Jubilee Anniversary concert will take place at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Garrison Junction, Port Harcourt at 5:00pm.
