The husband of one Mrs Chizoba Eke, who was severely beaten up and dumped in a septic tank while her baby was abducted at Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State, has called on the Rivers State Police command to properly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
The husband who made this known in a chat with journalists at the hospital where his wife is currently on admission, also called on the Rivers State Government and the general public to come to his aid.
The husband said the suspect who was arrested by the Police is like a brother to him and wondered why he decided to carryout such wicked and inhumane act on his family.
The suspect was arrested with the baby by Police officers on stop and search duty at Omarelu, community, a boundary between Rivers State and neighbouring Imo state.
