OBIO/AKPOR – Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo has officially launched the Chijioke Ihunwo Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged individuals through education, healthcare, empowerment, and community development.
Speaking at the launch, the NGO’s Head of Programs, High Chief Amieyesiegha Nice, outlined the foundation’s mission to provide essential support to both indigenes and non-indigenes of Obio/Akpor. The foundation’s initiatives include scholarships for underprivileged students, provision of educational resources, and the establishment of educational institutions in underserved communities.
He said the foundation will also engage in advocacy campaigns to defend the rights of marginalized groups, promote social justice, and push for policy reforms that benefit local communities.
According to officials, the Chijioke Ihunwo Foundation aims to nurture future leaders, foster economic empowerment, and ensure access to quality healthcare. Ambassador Ihunwo’s commitment to philanthropy, they said, reflects his dedication to making a meaningful impact on society.
