In line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Greater Emolga Continuity and Consolidation Mantra of the present administration in Emohua local government council , the local government chairman, Sir Chidi Lloyd has pledged to provide a befitting secretariat for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government area, to serve as the administrative office of the party in the area.
Sir Chidi Lloyd made the pledge when he granted audience to the executives of the party in Emohua LGA on Wednesday.
The Emohua council boss said it was totally unacceptable for the party that gave him the platform for re-election to be operating from an unbefitting secretariat in Emohua LGA under his watch, and immediately directed the chairman of the APC in Emohua LGA, Barr Azundah Onyekwere to launch a search for a befitting facility, to be acquired for the party at a particular satellite town within the LGA .
Sir Chidi Lloyd also approved the payment of monthly allowances to the LGA and 14 political ward executives of the APC in Emohua LGA , as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their services to the party and the Renewed Hope Political Family at large .
He further expressed gratitude to the party executives for their support before, during and after the 30th August local government election, attributing his landslide victory at the polls to the collective effort of all stakeholders and members of the Renewed Hope Political Family across the 14 wards in Emohua LGA.
Sir Chidi Lloyd also seized the opportunity to advise young and aspiring politicians in Emohua LGA to refrain from abusing other political leaders to register their loyalty to their respective adopted leaders, stating that such misbehavior may not yield the intended result but could negatively affect the political advancement of such sycophantic individuals.
He urged young and prospective politicians to invest their time and energy in personal development and acts capable of earning them the trust and support of political leaders, regardless of where their loyalty lie, with a view to improving their chances of actualizing their political aspirations.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and chairman of the APC in Emohua LGA , Barr Azundah Onyekwere, said they were at the chairman’s office to formally congratulate him on his re-election victory and to reassure him of their unwavering support for his administration.
Barr Azundah said the leadership of the APC in Emohua LGA trusts Sir Chidi Lloyd’s capacity to transform the local government area, following the council chairman’s sterling performance in his first term .
The delegation on the visit to the council chairman comprised the members of the Emohua LGA working committee of the APC and the 14 ward chairmen of the party in the LGA.
The vice chairman of the council, Hon Mrs Vivian Obiageri Amadi ; the council secretary and chief of staff , Engr Victor Benjamin and Barr Peter Ugari respectively, joined the council chairman to receive the APC delegation .
