Chidi Lloyd, Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, has intensified efforts to improve electricity supply across the LGA. On Tuesday, he held a strategic meeting with the management of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) in Emohua.
Bright Jossy-Elendu, Executive Assistant/Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman in a statement said the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the local government council and PHED, as well as reviewing the efficiency of electricity supply, consumption, and billing in the area.
Both parties also identified parts of Emohua with damaged or vandalized electricity infrastructure, with plans for a comprehensive assessment and possible joint intervention to restore power in affected communities.
The PHED delegation was led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ete Pinnick, who attended alongside other top management officials.
The council chairman was joined at the meeting by the Leader of the Emohua Legislative Assembly, Chief Hon. Love Nyenke, and the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Barr. Peter Ugari.
