One Justice Azunda, the Chief Protocol Officer to the immediate past Chief of Staff to Rivers State Government, Emeka Woke was yesterday abducted by suspected gunmen.
Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Chidi Lloyd disclosed this in a statement shortly after the incident.
According to him, Mr Onuigwe Nwodi and his gang invaded Isiodu community were Azunda and some persons were holding a meeting, shot sporadically in the air and whisked him away.
Lloyd, said he has directed members of the Emohua Vigilante Services, EMOVIS to synergize with the Police and ensure the safe release of the victim.
He also announced that the one million naira bounty placed on Azunda has been increased to two million naira, and called for cooperation from residents to ensure that miscreants do not takeover the area.
The council boss also announced a ban on the movement of motorcycle from 6:00pm to 6:00am beginning from Today, Monday June 5 2023.
