Nigerian Singer-Songwriter, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa aka Charly Boy has tackled the Governor of Bayelsa State, Duoye Diri on what he described as “the irony of the Nigerian state”.
Charly Boy on his Instagram handle noted that while Diri recognised a BBNaija reality star, he failed to honour “a first class graduate of the Niger Delta university, Faculty of Law, as well as a first class graduate Nigeria Law School”.
Whereas the BBNaija contestant, was given a state reception and labelled the Face of Bayelsa Girl Child, the cerebral scholar was completely ignored.
Instagram users have reacted to Charly Boy’s claims in various ways. While some seem to agree with him, pointing out the flaws with in the Nigerian state, others disagree.

@secondhandgist: Naija na zoo honestly because the rationale behind honoring someone for participating in a reality show and even giving them appointment is just madness. Congrats smart girl, please if you’re reading this, write IELT and find your way to Canada, your smart will be appreciated there.
