Captain Ranti Ogoyi has been identified as the pilot of the ValueJet Embraer CRJ-900 aircraft involved in the deboarding of Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), over alleged unruly behavior at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on August 5.
A seasoned aviator with over a decade of flying experience, Captain Ogoyi joined ValueJet after a lengthy stint with Arik Air. She is married to fellow pilot, Captain Isaac Ogoyi, who currently flies for Uganda Airlines.
The incident, which sparked public reactions, occurred during a scheduled ValueJet flight, reportedly prompting intervention by the flight crew and airport authorities.
