The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the top three nominees for all men’s categories ahead of the 2025 CAF Awards, with Mohamed Salah, Achraf Hakimi and Victor Osimhen leading the race for the prestigious Men’s Player of the Year prize.
CAF confirmed the shortlists on Monday, unveiling the finalists across seven categories, including Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year and Club of the Year.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, PSG star Achraf Hakimi and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen — now with Galatasaray — emerged as the standout performers contending for Africa’s highest individual honour.
The 2025 CAF Awards will take place on 19 November in Rabat, Morocco, starting at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT), and will celebrate achievements recorded in both club and international competitions between 6 January and 15 October 2025.
