Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has announced that the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari will be laid to rest on Tuesday in his hometown of Daura, Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Speaking to journalists at the Government House in Katsina on Monday, Governor Radda said the decision followed consultations with the late president’s family and associates in London, where Buhari died on Sunday.
“The body will arrive in Katsina by 12 noon tomorrow, and the burial will take place in Daura at about 2 p.m.,” the governor said.
Governor Radda also extended condolences to Buhari’s family, the people of Katsina State, Nigerians at large, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the passing of the former leader.
