President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and other prominent Nigerians will be the first set of persons to receive the COVID-19, vaccine.
Faisal Shuaib, Executive Director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, disclosed this during the press briefing of the Presidential Taskforce yesterday, in Abuja.
Shuaib, stated that they will receive the vaccine on live television to help drive awareness.
“…Even in developed countries, what we have seen is that apart from the prioritisation of health workers, you have to also identify critical leaders that you don’t want them to be wiped off by the virus,” he said.
The nation is expected to receive the first set of vaccine this month.
