Buhari Directs Banks to Issue NIN Cards to Nigerians

The federal government has directed commercial banks to issue debit cards which doubles as their National Identity Cards at no extra cost to Nigerians.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, made this known on Wednesday.

According to him the approval was obtained at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
