Nigerian Singer, Teni has reacted to the violence that rocked the Buguma Carnival over the weekend, while she was on stage performing at the event, in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Teni, in a post on Instagram said it would have been a different a story if not for God, adding that she and her team are back home and safe.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Police command, says there was no attempt to kidnap the singer.
Acting Public Relations Officer of the command, Grace Koko said it was a “free-for-all” by some hoodlums at the carnival.
She said the gunshots heard were from security operatives at the venue, to calm the situation, and that the matter is currently being investigated.
She assured that all those involved would be brought to book.
