Abuja, Nigeria — Controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan has reportedly been arrested by the Nigerian police at the headquarters of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) in Abuja.
The news was confirmed by his legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, who disclosed the development in a Facebook post. Adeyanju criticized the arrest, describing it as “completely unacceptable” and a breach of the activist’s right to demand accountability.
As of press time, authorities have not released an official statement regarding the reason for the arrest.
