Tennis Legend, Rafael Nadal has officially announced his retirement from the sport in an emotional farewell to his fans.
Nadal, widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, made the announcement after he was knocked out of the Davis Cup in Spain’s quarter-final defeat to the Netherlands in Malaga.
The 38-year-old who was born on June 3, 1986, in Manacor, Mallorca, Spain commended his fans for their support throughout his career.
Nadal, alongside rivals, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic dominated the sport for more than a decade, and won a total of 22 Grand Slam singles title during his career.
