The Supreme Court has reserved judgment on the four appeals before it stemming from the crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly. After listening to the appeals on the defection of the 27 lawmakers today, the apex court reserved judgment to a date that will be communicated to both parties.
The four pending cases are:
SC/CV/1174/2024 – Rivers State House of Assembly & others vs. Rivers State Government & nine others.
SC/CV/1175/2024 – Rivers State House of Assembly & others vs. Rivers State Governor & nine others.
SC/CV/1176/2024 – Rivers State House of Assembly & others vs. Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) & nine others.
SC/CV/1177/2024 – Rivers State House of Assembly & others vs. Accountant General of Rivers State & nine others.
