Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has been declared winner of the Anambra State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to results announced by INEC after collation from all 21 local government areas, a total of 584,054 votes were recorded across the state. Soludo secured a sweeping victory with 422,664 votes, far ahead of his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 99,445 votes.
Other contenders included the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which scored 8,208 votes, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which garnered 1,401 votes.
