The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) is set to release the timetable and guidelines for the 2025 Local Government Elections during a stakeholders’ meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
According to a statement signed by RSIEC Chairman and Chief Electoral Commissioner, Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli (Rtd), the meeting will take place at the commission’s headquarters on Aba Road, Port Harcourt, at 2:00 PM.
Expected attendees include leaders of registered political parties, traditional rulers, security agencies, religious organizations, media representatives, professional bodies, civil society groups, NGOs, community-based organizations, and the general electorate.
The unveiling of the election timetable and guidelines will be the key highlight of the meeting, marking the formal commencement of preparations for the upcoming local government polls in Rivers State.
RSIEC has urged all invited stakeholders to arrive promptly to ensure a smooth and effective deliberation.
