The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in 20 of the 23 local government areas in the chairmanship and councillorship elections held on Saturday across Rivers State.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is the ruling party in the state, secured wins in only three local government areas.
Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Dr. Michael Odey, announced the results at the commission’s headquarters along Aba Road in Port Harcourt on Sunday afternoon.
