The Rivers State House of Assembly has adjourned its sittings indefinitely after passing three bills during its plenary session on Friday.
Before the adjournment, Speaker Martin Amaewhule accused the state’s governor of instructing heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) not to appear before the Assembly or cooperate in its investigative activities.
Recall that Governor Fubara had written to the Assembly, informing them of his readiness to present the 2025 budget this month.
