PORT HARCOURT — Rivers State Administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has criticized the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for relocating its 2025 Annual General Conference from Port Harcourt to Enugu, accusing the association of hypocrisy.
In a statement released Monday, Ibas noted that despite the NBA’s public stance on “principle,” it has yet to refund the N300 million already paid by the Rivers State Government for hosting rights.
“If the NBA truly stands on principle, it should promptly refund the N300 million, rather than continue to benefit from a state it now publicly discredits,” Ibas said.
