Abuja – President Bola Tinubu has appointed Nafiu Olakunle as the new Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Olakunle, a native of Ileogbo near Iwo in Osun State, previously served as Chief of Staff to the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja. Lagbaja passed away at 56 on November 5, 2024, in Lagos after a prolonged illness.
Further details on Olakunle’s appointment and expected policy direction for the NYSC are yet to be disclosed.
