Reinstated deputy governor of Edo State, Phillip Shaibu on Thursday escaped death after his convoy was attacked by gunmen in Benin City, Edo State.
According to NAN, he was in company of the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, when the assailants who reportedly killed a policeman in their convoy, struck.
The incident, we gathered, occurred on Airport Road, when Okpebholo and several others, arrived the city from Abuja aboard a chartered flight.
Meanwhile the Police was yet to confirm the incident as at press time.
