The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has directed its National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, to initiate legal proceedings against Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and the entire party structure in the state over their reported defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking to journalists following an emergency meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum, said the PDP is determined to pursue legal action in order to reclaim its mandate, noting that the officials in question were elected on the party’s platform.
As you may know, the Delta State Governor and others recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.
