The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has called off its nationwide strike following a landmark agreement with the management of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited on workers’ unionisation.
The union had on Monday embarked on industrial action to protest the company’s alleged refusal to allow its employees to join NUPENG.
The strike, which heightened concerns over possible fuel scarcity across the country, was suspended after both parties reached a compromise.
