Bonny Local Government Area (LGA) security operatives have successfully arrested a notorious crime suspect, Fredrick Pollyn, popularly known as Opulo Opulo, in a coordinated operation involving the Nigerian Police Force and the Bonny LGA Surveillance Team, led by Chief Security Officer Hon. Prince Wilcox.
The arrest, which took place in the early hours of Monday, November 24, 2025, was executed under the directive of Bonny LGA Chairman, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the area.
According to official reports, Pollyn was involved in a violent assault on Mr Kenneth Thompson Allison on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Wilbros Road, Bonny. The suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a machete, causing severe injuries, including the amputation of his fingers, following an earlier act of intimidation.
Reacting to the arrest, Chairman Pepple issued a stern warning to all criminal elements, emphasising that Bonny will not be a haven for crime and that anyone caught will face the full weight of the law.
Pollyn is currently in police custody and is set to be prosecuted at the Port Harcourt Police Division. Meanwhile, the victim is receiving medical treatment.
