President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero has been reportedly arrested by the Police in Imo State.
Reports say Ajaero was at the State Secretariat in Owerri to begin the planned strike action against what he described as government’s insensitivity to the plight of workers in the state when he was whisked away.
We gathered that the incident caused panic in the area as union leaders and Journalists scampered for safety.
