Former Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council, President, Ogoni Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty, Tai Kingdom, King G.N.K. Giniwa is dead!
Crown Prince of Tai, Dr. Prince Godwin Gininwa officially announced the passing of their father at the Royal Palace of Gininwa in Korokoro Tai.
A chieftain of the APC and former governorship candidate, Sen. Magnus Abe also confirmed his death in a statement. He said, “This afternoon, I joined the traditional rulers and other prominent sons & daughters of Ogoniland, for the official announcement of the passing of our beloved father and King, former chairman, Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council, President, Ogoni Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty, King Godwin N.K. Gininwa (JP).
The passing of Our beloved father and King renders a great loss not just to Ogoniland, but Rivers State and Nigeria at large — Our late king was a unifier.
Whilst we mourn this irreparable loss, I’m impressed with the commitment, unity and bond from the family and the entire leadership in Ogoniland and other state actors , all-to, giving our beloved King the last and greatest respect deserving of his revered personality.
I commend my brothers, sisters and friends across the state for their solidarity at this time.
