Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, has emerged as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yilwatda emerged following a meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) held on Thursday in Abuja. He is expected to resign from his ministerial position to officially assume leadership of the ruling party.
His emergence comes amid ongoing efforts by the APC to strengthen internal structures and reposition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
