Ten residents of Angwan-Kawo and Kuchipa villages in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State have been abducted by suspected armed men.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday evening, was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, in an interview with Channels Television on Thursday.
According to Abiodun, the police received a distress report around 8 p.m. on November 26, 2025, indicating that gunmen invaded the two communities and whisked away about ten people.
He added that security operatives have launched efforts to rescue the abducted victims.
