Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, will on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, swear in five commissioner-designates recently screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House Port Harcourt by 1:00 p.m.

According to a special government announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Dagogo S. A. Wokoma, the commissioners-designate are Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Mr. Lekue Kenneth, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.

The statement noted that each commissioner-designate is expected to attend the ceremony with one guest, with all invitees required to be seated by 12:30 p.m.

The swearing-in marks the formal inauguration of the new members of the Rivers State Executive Council under the administration of Governor Fubara.
