Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially received his membership card as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), days after announcing his defection to the ruling party.
Chairman of the party in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, presented the card to the Governor during a courtesy visit to him at the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Friday.
Okocha, while welcoming Fubara into the party, pledged the readiness of the Rivers APC to work with him. He also assured the Governor of the party’s commitment to delivering President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Governor Fubara’s formal reception into the APC marks a significant political shift in Rivers State’s evolving political landscape.
