The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday interrogated former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal over alleged suspicious cash withdrawals totaling N189 billion during his tenure.
Tambuwal arrived at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja around 11:30 a.m. and was still being questioned by investigators as of press time. The former governor is expected to explain the source and purpose of the transactions, which the anti-graft agency described as questionable.
